“The Hidden Power of Emotion” by Melanie Dean. Building on the science of emotions as molecules, the author provides “Power Boosters” and explains “Power Zappers” to purposefully direct the energy in positive ways in your life.

“Symbol, Status and Personality” by S. I. Hayakawa follows up on his classic “Language in Thought and Action” to explain the interdependent dynamics of culture, self-image, communication and community, which if understood would have helped us prevent the current political fraud.
“Disarming the Narcissist” by Wendy T. Behary. In simple terms, the author helps someone suffering from relating to this type of person and removes confusion, empowering self-preservation. Working with the idea of schemas, every interaction can be decoded and defused.

“From Anger to Forgiveness” by classic recovery author Earnie Larsen. Perhaps the most helpful little book on ridding oneself of the toxic pain that has been inflicted.
The influential feminist Biblical scholar Luise Schottroff brings her considerable depth narratives to examine whom is included in the texts. Especially insightful is the examination of the women at the tomb and the naming of Mary Magdalene. This research provides perspective in current claims around women’s roles in Jesus’ ministry and explains the threat of death his followers were under in even approaching the topic of forbidden burials at the time.
